The Final Edit is a mystery novel by Bret Kissinger, which was published in the year 2022. The book follows a girl named Madison Monroe dealing with her lifelong past trauma. Trauma never really left her, even coming back stronger a decade later.
The book cover really gave me mysterious yet powerful vibes. It perfectly showcased the darkness in which she was living for a decade and finally decided to come out of it. Once I opened this book it introduces me to a world of suspense and mystery, whenever I thought I knew the Killer, I was proved wrong.

Life is full of moments, some leave a good mark on us, and some leave us bruised. What if those unfortunate ones come back? The Final Edit is one such story in which a girl named Madison solved her abduction mystery with the help of two detectives and one friend named Casper.
The book covers the life of Madison who was abducted by a man in a mask on an unfortunate Halloween night returning from a lively party. She was forcefully drawn to his bed for days and fulfilled his malicious desires. Luckily, she escaped him but the masked man was never caught.
A decade later she become the editor of fiction writing, receiving samples from writers on daily basis. If taking breaths means living then she was definitely living one, but otherwise, she was dealing with spontaneous fears and anxiety. She changed forever after that incident, taking therapy for years was not giving her any peace.
The story took a turn when she received a sample from a writer mentioning details of that agonizing night in which she was abducted, which only two people knew – she and the man in the mask. Later she got many samples mentioning other horrendous murders he was going to commit.
With the help of her friend Casper, one retired homicide detective and an FBI agent she will unravel the mystery of her abduction which was connected to all the murders committed by the man in the mask.

When it comes to readability it was a really interesting read for me. I was so hooked to
the book. It literally took me a day to read the whole book. The plot and the cases were so intriguing you can’t leave this book in between. Overall it is a fairly simple read, I felt so amazed after reading this.

The Author Bret Kissinger has woven the story with such an engaging plot, one can’t resist turning to the next page. The murder mystery is filled with so many twists and turns and with beyond imagination ending.
The author connected many threads together forming such an intriguing suspenseful story. If you are a mystery you can’t afford to miss this one, truly after so long I read such an engaging mystery book. If you are not into this stuff, give it a try and you won’t regret it.
The book is filled with so much suspense, one can hardly guess who is the real
culprit. If you believe who got this, it will betray you in every step. If you are a mystery lover and enjoy suspense this one is for you.
