Benjamin, a young worm who has a strange interest in books. Totally different from his parents and siblings or even his friends, Benjamin wants to read as many books as possible. This story is fun and inspirational. It will not only grab your children’s attention but will also inspire them to read and learn more.

Benjamin and his worm family lived in the back lot of a grocery store surrounded by rotten food perfect for a warm family. but Benjamin had no interest in those foods, instead, he took more interest in the newspapers the food came wrapped in. In the thirst for reading and finding new books, Benjamin went on a journey that led him to The Library of Congress.

Benjamin, the central character of the story, is a very dedicated and driven worm who wants to read as many books as possible and goes to heights to fulfill his desire to read.

Digger, Benjamin’s brother; Winona Wormwood his mother and Ferdinand Wormwood his father, all are a typical family of worms who think reading is not what worms do and worms are only supposed to eat and dig through the “ nice rotten things”.

Whizby, Dotty, and Ginger – a dragonfly, a ladybug, and an ant – are Benjamin’s new-found friends who help him to reach a library to fulfill his desire to read and be surrounded by books.

Miss Nicholas, the librarian, is another friend whom Benjamin meets in the library. When she learned that Benjamin had read all the books in the library and wanted to read more, she took him to The Library of Congress where he never fell short of books to read ever again.

The story is perfectly written to grab the attention of the young ones. With his easy and simple writing style, with fun and witty lines, the writer ensures to make children enjoy the story and keep them glued to the book.
