Tell us about yourself, your family, occupation, passions, etc.

Again, I dedicate this work to God and His church, and then of course, to my beautiful wife Dorothy who has been my rock and my special angel for more than fifty years. Special recognition to our four children and their spouses, Mike & Becky, Shana, still my editor extraordinaire & Brian, Faith & Russell, and David & Robin, who are all involved in kingdom work.

Now you know I’m not going to leave out our ten grandchildren, by age: Michael, Timothy, Daniel, Joshua, Imani, Sarah, David Kweli, Nyla, Nia, and Solomon Kabisa. Also, this is the first book that I get to introduce our two great grands, Christian and Fawn.

What a wonderful growing dynasty in the making!

Thank you, Christ Center Church of God, for sharing us with the world at large. You’ve allowed us to go and serve others in seminars and workshops without complaint. In those times when I needed time to write, you were most gracious, even when we took a partial sabbatical that was not on anyone’s radar.

I am truly blessed to have such a great congregation of loving, caring people. Thank you again for not placing too many extra demands on our time. You have grasped the understanding that God has not only sent us to serve you, but a larger world as well; and we love you with our lives!

Then there is my special staff: Pastors Elsa Johnson Bass, and Vera H. Odum, Brian Boykin, David Scott Owens III., Cornelius Bolger, who with my Administrative Assistant Ms. Beverly J. Adams, continue to make me look good. Thank you so much for all of your dedicated work.
