The Perils of Being Moderately Famous by Soha Ali Khan
The Perils of Being Moderately Famous by Soha Ali Khan will feature a collection of humorous and weird stories on her life as a royal princess. Not many people, even her fans, know that her official title is Nawabzadi Soha Ali Khan of Pataudi and Bhopal – that’s a real princess for you. The cover and the release date of The Perils of Being Moderately Famous is still not decided but it is clear that it will hit the shelves this year.
Soha Ali Khan is the youngest daughter of legendary actress Sharmila Tagore and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, the 9th Nawab of Pataudi. Soha considers herself a ‘moderately famous’ celebrity and so the title of her debut book is The Perils of Being Moderately Famous. Soha Ali Khan is in herself an avid reader and boasts of having a reading speed of 510 words per minute (that’s some magic, Soha!). While announcing her book, Soha also shared how a bunch of close people encouraged her to write a book.
So she creatively penned down her memories, her life as a real princess and around all the celeb family members. Although, Soha said that The Perils of Being Moderately Famous is mostly about her only and readers may not expect any breakthrough revelations about the Pataudi family.
Gurveen Chadha, the editor of Penguin India, also spoke about The Perils of Being Moderately by Soha Ali Khan. She said
Having read a few chapters, I can safely say Soha was born to write. She has amassed a huge fan following not only for her movies but also for her witty repartee on Twitter, and her charm and wit continue to shine in this brilliant collection of personal essays where she recounts with self-deprecating humour some of the most poignant moments of her life—from growing up as a modern-day princess to life as a celebrity in the times of social media culture.
